I CANNOT SLEEP (written 11-11-2002 12.56am)©

I lay in bed as night has come,

And count the stars one by one.

Sparkling and shining all around,

I watch from my bed here on the ground.

The moon so big and white I see,

And it looks down here at me.

Wind is blowing with all its might,

On this rainy and windy night.

Trees they sway in the wind force,

With nowhere to go no set course.

Leaves they fly all around with grace,

Not in a hurry for there is no race.

But noise there is and loud it be,

Sometimes with a fright it does give me.

But cuddled up tight with my man in bed,

Down on our pillows we do lay our head.

He is sleeping so peacefully indeed,

For me I lay awake in darkness cant read.

My mind all a turning with thoughts too much,

About all the things in this life and all of such.

Kids all tucked up soundly they sleep,

I sneak in soundly I quietly creep.

So innocent they are, angels they look,

Just like the ones you read about in the book.

So now I will finish and get some shut eye I hope,

Otherwise tomorrow I certainly will not cope.

MOTHER I AM (written 15-9-2002)©

A mother I am a mother I feel,

A mother I thought the one whose to heal.

Kisses and cuddles to comfort is what I am for,

Discipline and rules and a whole lot more.

Sometimes confusing sometimes straight forward,

And rarely but sometimes it can become awkward.

They try us and push till the limit is hit,

Not realizing that sometimes they hurt us a bit.

But that is life and trials it sure has,

With all of those lessons they come in a mass.

Some are so big and some seem so trivial,

But all of them at the time seem very real.

Then adults they’ll become with love just as strong,

Forgetting all those things we both did do wrong.

INNER VOICES (written 15-9-2002)©

Please let me out please let me be heard,

For to me none of it is at all absurd.

The anguish and hurt that’s trapped inside,

So cleverly from all itself is in disguise.

It’s yelling within shouting with all it’s might,

But inside of my head it stands out of sight.

Blood is all boiling pressure’s way up high,

Not easily is it fixed with a casual sigh.

Instead it’s with words that I do write,

That some of it released and within sight.

No longer trapped with emotions all confused,

But no longer will I let anyone to me abuse.

For I’m only human a soul I have too,

Just like all others, your friends, family and you.

So treat me with dignity treat me as equal,

For one day you’ll need me no matter how trivial.

UNSPOKEN LOVE (written 6-1-2003)©

As temperatures have risen and heart rates do rise,

I look deep within you, deep within your eyes.

No sounds around us, we seem all alone,

Except for the language we have of our own.

No words need be spoken for us to hear,

It’s all in our eyes and bodies we bare.

The hands they caress my soul so complete,

Our hearts beat together combine to one beat.

The love that’s unspoken but yet understood,

Together we speak it I knew that we would.

So gentle and caring so manly as well,

Something to share I give you all I shall.

For I am yours, my one and my all,

Our love I do hear it, as for us it does call.

IN YOU (Written 15-9-2002)©

When I cuddle up to you I know one thing for sure,

That when in your arms you make me feel so secure.

You’ll protect me I feel with no strings attached,

That is why we were so perfectly matched.

You know what I’m feeling you know when I’m down,

But my heart springs to life when you are around.

So don’t let me go don’t let me be,

You are my life that you surely see.

These arms are like blankets holding me tight,

I know in your heart you love me that we will be alright.

It’s your expressions and warmth that see me through,

If it wasn’t for you I don’t know what I would do.

Our love is so strong unbreakable I feel,

Now and forever it will stay ever so real.
